Preface
This is something I've read in Faleev's book. Something basic and still it never occured to me.
Introduction
In the practice of Russian X-ray photographer, prof. Lindenbraten following took place. Radiographer needed for baric porridge to be in stomach during
research. But as it occured, if porridge was cold (right from fridge), it left the stomach faster than X-ray photographer could attune equipment (this was in 1969).
This fact made radiologist curious and some experiments were made. In the end of which it was found out that washing down food with cold drinks shortens food stomatch
residence from 4-5 hours to 20 minutes.
Outcomes
Results of washing down food with cold drinks are:
- can cause obisety since you aren't sated and hunger comes quicklier this leads to overeating.
- can cause decay in the intestine since normal digestion didn't take place.
Note: in Faleev's opinion, all fast food restaurants offer cold drinks and either don't have hot drinks or they are relatively expensive so that customers will become hunry sooner and buy more food.
This fact is also relevant for protein supplements intake. Don't drink protein supplements cold, room teprature or even a little heated is preferred.
