This guide demonstrates installation process on Windows. On other operating systems (lile: Linux, Unix) installation process is very similar to this one.
You can install Levolution using the following steps:
- Download Levolution.zip. Press here to download latest Levolution version. In the "File download" dialog press "Save" and select where you want the file to be saved.
- Unzip Levolution.zip into Levolution directory. Go to the selected location from the first step and unzip the file. In most windows systems you can do it by pressing left click on the file and selecting "Extract files...".
- Run Levolution with run.bat. Double click run.bat or write run.bat in shell in order to launch the application. Though in windows you can run jar files by double clck, i.e. no need for run.bat, I would prefer users using run.bat. The advantage is that a shell is opened. In case some error occures a stack trace is printed in to the shell. It can be sent to me and I'll fix the problem.
- Delete Levolution.zip that was created on the firsh step.
